Spiced Dip

This simple recipe for a blend of brown sugar and spices is a HUGE hit with everyone I share it with. It can be used is so many ways!

  • Seasoning blend to add to desserts
  • Great sprinkled on fruit for grilling
  • A dip with cool whip or yogurt
  • And more…
  • You’ll want to consider keeping a bulk batch of this on hand to be ready for inspired recipes throughout the year.

MAKE IT A MIX

I keep a jar of this spice blend in my pantry throughout the year. It’s so easy to grab a scoop from the jar to add to a tub of cool whip to use for a fruit dip or spice up all kinds of cookies or sprinkle over fruit to put on the grill.

THE VARIATIONS

The recipe card shared in this post includes the recipe to make the most popular way to use this seasoning blend – as a cool whip dip, but here are some other quick uses for this seasoning blend you’ll want to try:

  • Combine 4 tablespoons of the blend with 1 cup of apple juice. Simmer to reduce slightly and use as a glaze for ham.
  • Add seasoning to yogurt and toss with a variety of berries for a fresh dessert option.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of the blend to a tub of store bought caramel dip (like you see near the apples in the fall).
  • Make a dressing with 1 tablespoon of the blend and 1/2 cup mayonnaise. Toss with shredded carrots and golden raisins.
  • Sauté peeled apple slices with butter and a generous portion of the blend for a seasonal side dish.
  • Add 1 tablespoon to a stick of softened butter to spread over toast, biscuits, pancakes, banana bread – and great on baked sweet potatoes!
  • and so much more! (stay tuned, more will be posted on the blog)
