White Chocolate CranOrange Cookies

Whenever I’m asked about the most popular cookie mix from my old product line, the answer is easy….this one!

These cookies only sold a few months out of the year but outsold all of the cookies we sold year round.  I’ve adjusted the ingredients required to use items you can find on any grocery store shelf.

MAKE IT A MIX

This recipe is great for packaging as a dry mix to keep in the pantry for a quick batch of cookies.

GOT KIDS? Bring them into the kitchen to help make up a batch of these homemade mixes.

  • Set it up like an assembly line, assigning 1 person to each ingredient and pass the bags around the table, OR…
  • Set it up as a round table process. Line up all of the ingredients with their measuring utensils, place a stack of bags at the front of the ingredient line and let each person go down the line to make a full mix.

MAKE IT A GIFT

Gift idea 1: Place the dry mix ingredients in a gift bag with the recipes for both the cookies and the bar variations printed out. Now they can bake the cookies when they want them and then recreate them if desired using the printed recipes!

Gift idea 2: Bake up several batches and fill jars with cookies to gift to neighbors and coworkers. Add a bow to the jar to make it festive.

PREPARE AHEAD

Fill the freezer with ready to bake cookies!  Make the dough as directed in the recipe, stopping short of baking them.  Instead, fill a baking sheet with dough balls, freeze them until firm and then fill a gallon freezer bag with dough balls that can be baked later. Make one, a few or a dozen – whatever you need whenever you need them. A great way to be prepared for those pop up events when you want to bring a fresh baked item.

GOT KIDS? Let them help make the dough balls to fill the freezer. Then when they want to bake cookies – they can grab some frozen cookie balls for a quick and easy ‘family baking’ time.

VARIATIONS

This cookie recipe can be made into decadent bars as well, drizzling the top with white and milk chocolate. The recipe is included in the printable files below.
